Hello, i think a long time ago i was looking for some book for my friend so i tried the trial, i didn't find it and just went to work.

I forget all about this and i didn't get any email, call, text or nothing so guessed they hadn't kept charging me.

Then i noticed many months later a audible transaction while i was trying to see where i could cut costs.

I checked and they had been charging me for a whole 9 months.

I do take quite a bit of the blame the in the missing the chargers in my transactions but i feel like i just wasn't really expecting them to be charging me without any like heads up or msg or email or something especially since i had no songs in my listening history ever haha

I had been on it once to look for a book for my friend.

They should've checked after like the 2nd month of just no log on or activity whatsoever in my opinion but just all around

I would have been fine with them charging me like a month and yeah oops i forgot to cancel it fully on me but i feel like they deliberately just didn't make any effort to notice me that i was making payment.

but just damn. 9 months, and like 134.55$

Also i've tried soooo many times to contact them just to see what their perspective is but i just really don't like that it felt so not advertised whenever they charged you.

I like a email.

More than a month has passed, Audible send an automatic response saying they will contact me. They haven't, it has been more than a month, the next bill already arrived and I still can access my account.

This is ridiculous. I called the call center, they never ***...

I can't access my account. Whenever I try to sign in, it asks me to verify my identity with a code sent to my phone number xxx xxx xx85, I no longer have this number and the sign in page wouldn't offer any other option to access.

I tried calling to the call center number, they left me on hold for over 20 minutes.
Please help me with an alternative to verify identity such as a code sent to my email (I mean, come on, every single web service uses both, it's so obvious). Or change to my current phone number.

This is what you have to do. Their Parent company Amazon is the one you contact.

Explain to the rep., your ph.no. On the acct. has changed and your not recieving the code. They’ll transfer you to another dept.

who will assist in getting your ph.no. Updated and then ask them to transfer to Audible to cancel your membership

I'm glad I found an honest review site about giants like Audible and Amazon. This is a complete *** to go through their customer service.

Unprofessional and non-carrying customer service with little to no help on resolving the issue. It is not because they do not try to help (although sometime it is the case), but because they are giving promises they can never fulfill. I had to go over and over again with the same issue, and every time they are over-positively running me in circles without solving the issue. I paid for audiobook(s) about three years ago and I wasn't using amazon or audible for few years.

When I tried to access audiobooks I purchased, amazon blocked my account due to duplicated accounts. I have no problem with that and glad to remove one account to keep only one that works. I did everything they asked me to do and it seems the customer service take a great pleasure running me in circles with no final solution to the problem. I have no faith anymore in any of Amazon or Audible services.

It is the automated system that decides either you are going to be their customer or not, and it is not for the customer service to decide. I feel I was left completely lied to with no respect to my time or money. They showed me how they can take my money for the service and block access to it anytime they want.

Screenshots shows the last interaction with Audible customer service that stated they will reach me out within 48 hours with the solution, so I can access my audiobook(s). It was 8 days ago and still no answer.

Hello, I cancelled my subscription at the beginning of February and I received a confirmation email that it had been canceled and yesterday they charged a monthly fee to my bank account while my subscription was canceled. Yet again, my account is frozen. I spent hour trying to the books to work. At the end, you said that it was the password that was caused the problem. I waited another three hours and waited. Nothing happened until the next day- Audible worked. It is happening again and I not going to wait all time with you. You also some books to vanish, I.e. Year 1968. More marketing mail I didn't ask for.

I ask to be removed from Audible's mailing list and they said just hit unsubscribe?! So I calmly described what paper is and how they used to use paper in the good ole days and I don't want it coming to my house.

They said just to tell the post office not to deliver the mail from Audible.

Hummm?

So I explained that it doesn't work that way. You don't tell the post office what mail you want and don't want (wouldn't that be nice!)

So I said again that I simply want Audible to remove me from their mailing list.

And again they said they don't do that so just contact the post office. So I suggested, nicely, that they don't recommend that to anyone else because it sounds really really...

I have been an Audible customer since 2009 and have listened to almost 1,000 Audible books. How the narrator interprets the content greatly enhances my listening experience.

Up until last night, browsing through potential downloads enabled me to listen to samples of one unique voice after another. Then, while listening to the books I bought, the narrators voices, inflections and emotions brought the characters to life and enhanced my own visualizations and reactions. Its true, some didnt work out for me, but almost all did. Regardless, all were creative, interesting and unique.

The other night I listened to many samples of the virtual voice before deciding what I think.

My conclusion...it's AWFUL. One book sounded exactly like another. There was no passion, no nuance, no automatic vocal inflections that human individuals bring to the ear, just a bland, rote recitation with some forced vocal inflections that sounded so labored, it was painful. After listening to one after another, it was so boring and painful I had to stop.

You are replacing artists with a low-grade technical process.

GO BACK TO HUMAN NARRATION. Step back.

You might be so close to the process that you forgot you are not dealing with assembly line widgits. YOU ARE DEALING WITH ARTreality, fantasy, comedywhat defines us as humans, not machineswhat keeps me, for one, buying one book after another, enjoying the continuity of a series, enjoying the variety of different content and narrators.

Leave AI to help us solve cancer, among many other things, and continue hiring human narrators to provide us with the means to escape, relax, shudder and laugh, basically to feel the emotion that listening to a good book narrated by a unique, human reader provides.

Virtual Voice is chosen by the author/publishers. It’s not audible’s decision.

I called about the same thing and that’s what I was informed. They do that to push their books out faster and cheaper

Wasted my morning 2x

30 minutes of account verification with an "account access specialist" to change my email, THEN he transferred me to a random initial rep without telling them of ANY information. Expecting me to start the process over again? What type of rep does this? I wish I could pull the call log myself and explain the situation to a respectful person, but does one exist at audible CS? I've yet to see it from my experience.

I already wrote a review and now youre asking me to write another review. This is the this is the problem is the problem with your site it forces people to do kung *** movements.

It was agonizing, trying to cancel my service. You did everything in your power to hide all the information that was needed.

It was just crazy And I dont understand how I was getting charged for service that I already canceled in September and somehow you guys started charging me again -and when I went into try to remove my credit card and I couldnt you were forcing me to continue with the your plan and pay for the service that I wasnt using - its wrongjust get yourself together because Its not good service apart from the customer service person Jason he was wonderful. He made ip qfor all your shady dodgy characteristics.

Uneducated intransigent customer service

I CANNOT download a book I purchased. I'm advise this option is no longer available AFTER I just DL'd 500+ books in my online library. I had a need to do this because an AUDIBLE APP deleted my local library (I clicked to play a local book... and poof book and library gone!) After 4 or 5 hours with customer service, attempting to escalate, I'm told this guy has no boss... it cannot be escalated, and I'm told I can DL a missing file Which yields the same error msg EVERY TIME. Their system thinks it's a Kindle file? A complete transcript of chats is available.
